Dear Grandma,

October flew by. Alex and I drove up to the lake with Alex's family to see the leaves change. The water was far too cold for swimming, so we rented a canoe and paddled out to the little island. I lasted about ten minutes before I asked to turn back.

Last Saturday we went to the harvest fair. I skipped the hayride this year and spent most of the afternoon in the barn looking at the quilts. One had a blue and yellow star pattern that looked just like the quilt on your guest bed. I stood there so long that Alex went for apple cider without me.

Work has been busy, but a friend and I started a cooking class on Thursday nights. This week was pie crust. Mine came out lopsided, and the whole time I could hear you telling me not to overwork the dough.

How did your garden do this year? Did the tomatoes ever turn red? I am counting down the days to Thanksgiving. I can't wait to sit at your kitchen table and hear all about your month.

Love,

Ali

A simple monthly habit that keeps you close.

Easier to keep up

Not everyone follows social media or hears every update. A monthly letter helps them feel included in your life.

Something to look forward to

The monthly rhythm gives your loved one something meaningful to look forward to.

Letters they keep

Details from conversations can fade. Letters give them something tangible to reread and save.

Write it your way.

Some months you will know exactly what to say. Other months, you may want some help.

Before you send your first letter

A printed letter in the mail, ready to read and keep. Letters can be up to four pages, printed double-sided. Your recipient doesn’t need an account, an app, or an internet connection.

You can write every word yourself, or start with a few notes and let MailedIt help shape them into a draft. Everyday updates are enough: something that made you laugh, a family moment, or what you’ve been up to. You can edit every word before approving.

No. You review the finished letter and approve it before anything is printed or mailed. Writing a draft, choosing a plan, or receiving a reminder never sends a letter.

We’ll email you a reminder with a link to your letter. Open the link on your phone or computer to write, review, and approve when you’re ready.

Monthly and annual subscriptions include one letter each month to one household, writing help, reminders, printing, postage, and mailing. Annual plans are paid yearly and still include one letter each month. See current plans and prices.

After you approve your letter, we prepare it for printing and mailing. We’ll email you once it has been mailed. USPS delivery typically takes 3–7 business days after mailing; that estimate starts when the letter is mailed, rather than when you approve it.

Yes. You can purchase extra letters when you need them, or add another household for an additional monthly letter to that address. See pricing for the available options.

Nothing is mailed without your approval. If you skip a month, your subscription and billing continue, and that month’s unused letter doesn’t roll over. You can return to writing when you’re ready.

Yes. You can cancel from your account dashboard at any time. Your plan stays active through the end of the period you’ve already paid for, then won’t renew. For annual plans, that means the end of your prepaid year.

Your letters aren’t public or visible to other customers, and we don’t sell your letters or personal information. We use service providers to print and mail your letters and, when you choose writing help, prepare your draft. Our Privacy Policy explains what information is shared and why.
